We are looking for Logistics Manager for managing the logistics operations including warehousing, domestic transportation, international freight, customs brokerage, inventory management, inventory planning & purchasing and managing 3PL service providers. Logistics Manager needs to ensure company’s internal and external clients are efficiently serviced in compliant with policies, procedures and business goals.  

 

Logistics Manager is reporting to Senior Director for APAC Logistics, this person will also represent Logistics in the Thailand executive team. 

 

Day to day responsibilities will include:  

  • Manage the overall Logistics operations for Thailand.  Ensure effective day-to-day management of the warehouse operation, inventory planning & purchasing, international/domestic transportation, customs brokerage, 3PL management and all related processes and procedures. 

  • People Leadership and direct management of the Warehouse & transport operation and Inventory planning & purchasing team. Provide knowledge, advice, direction and feedback on a daily basis. Build and maintain positive workplace morale and an effective team.   

  • Plan, develop and maintain on-going performance monitoring and evaluation to ensure that the Operations goals and objectives are achieved, and that all subordinate employees adhere to the corporate standards and goals. 

  • Responsible for Inventory management and reconciliation of stocks physically and in system 

  • Review and forecast purchasing requirements and planning needs and management of stock levels according to forecasts, MRP.  Engage factories and DC’s regarding supply. 

  • Liaise and support the Thailand Sales & Service organization (SSU) ensuring that all needs for the Operations functions are identified, assessed and fulfilled to perform in an efficient and cost-effective manner  

  • Ensure Service level agreements (SLA) with Sales and Service organization (SSU) are met / exceeded.  Set-up monthly/quarterly review with stakeholders. 

  • Lead and manage logistics initiatives and projects in Thailand.  Identify optimization/continuous improvement opportunities and implement.  Track the projects and update the stakeholders periodically. 

  • Input to budget planning for Thailand Logistics activities and ensuring the actual does not exceed the plan. 

  • Lead the negotiation and management of operations contracts with logistics suppliers and performance review.  

  • Support and comply with QA with respect to SOPs, ISO certification & audit, WH&S policies/procedures and QMS.  

  • Actively engage and support APAC regional projects for cross country learning and regional initiatives.

Your experience includes:   

  • Bachelor in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or equivalent  

  • 10+ years of experience from working with Supply Chain Logistics operations and Inventory planning at strategic as well as operational level 

  • Good understanding of Healthcare related industry is required 

  • Hands on working knowledge of SAP is required 

  • Financial acumen and understanding of business drivers is important 

  • Able to set direction, priorities and goals; able to secure plans and organization in order to realize and deliver ambitions and results; open and humble in learning for further development 

  • Able to lead change and influence positively 

  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, and to establish and manage own work schedule / weekly activity 

  • Fluent spoken and written English
