Validation Engineer- Infection Control, QLD

Getinge are seeking applications from any suitably qualified employees that may be looking to move into the position of Validation Engineer – Infection Control, Queensland. This role reports to the Validation Manager, Australia, and is based out of the Brisbane office. 

 

As the Validation Engineer - IC, you will support the team by undertaking performance qualification and requalification in accordance with relevant local and international standards, SOPs, work instructions, manuals, and instructions as part of the service offered to Getinge customers and promoting service & PQ/PRQ contracts to develop business. Please note this role requires extensive travel up to three weeks every month.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Performing qualification & requalification on infection control equipment, completed with the highest level of skill and customer service.
  • Understanding the relevant local and international standards and functionality of Getinge products. 
  • Targeting service revenue, meeting team goals, and promoting validation agreements. 
  • Maintaining adequate stock vehicle for efficient service.
  • Assisting in basic operator training if required to ensure operators are aware of operating and emergency procedures.
  • Providing education-based support whilst carrying out tasks.
  • Building Quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
  • Using PPE and safety equipment in accordance with relevant OHS policy and guidelines.

 

 

Skills and Experience required for this role:

 

  • Experience within a service environment and Healthcare related environment would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • Current relevant Driver’s License.
  • Hands-on experience working in a similar role – experience with infection control products would be a bonus.
  • Technical Acumen and knowledge of computer literacy skills.
  • The ability to work as an individual, and as part of a team.
  • Ability to set own priorities with good time management skills and can work under pressure
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to ensure services are provided in a professional manner to customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skill.
  • Customer centric approach is key!
