Payroll Specialist

Getinge are seeking a Payroll Specialist for a 9 month fixed term contract role. This role will ideally be based in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne, and will cover full time hours with flexibility for hybrid work from home or the office.

As the Payroll Specialist, you will maintain pay runs, manage payroll related employee inquiries, report for payroll tax returns, and WorkCover wages declarations for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).

 

 

In this role, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Liaising with external payroll provider to process monthly and fortnightly payroll runs for Australian employees
  • Processing of monthly payroll runs for New Zealand employees
  • Quarterly processing of Commissions, annual processing of bonus payments and salary reviews
  • Preparation and posting of payroll journals for month end processing and reporting
  • Liaise with relevant parties in regard to Novated Lease matters and Workcover claims
  • Preparation of monthly reports including but not limited to leave reports and any other ad hoc payroll statistics reporting required by Finance and/or HR

 

 

Skills and Experience required for this role:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce or finance 
  • Knowledge of payroll, finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including generally 
  • accepted accounting principles
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
  • Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis
  • Related Association membership (CPA/TAPS accreditation and/or equivalent).
