Director Commercial Operations (Bio-processing)

Are you ready to play a crucial role in the world of commercial operations and bioprocessing? As the Director of Commercial Operations Bioprocessing, you will act as the vital link between Global Sales and our product site Bioprocessing. You will streamline all opportunities, forecasts, product developments, and support issues through Commercial Operations to enhance communication and alignment. The goal of this position is to promote commercial excellence and ignite passion for Getinge bioreactors within Getinge and the Life Science market. You will be responsible for achieving the revenue and margin targets as outlined in the annual sales plan, providing sales forecasts to the Senior Director Life Science Comops, and performing other tasks necessary to support Getinge's success.

 

Key tasks and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Supporting the development and evaluation of tactical pricing strategies.
  • Driving sales within assigned regions.
  • Contributing to the development of an optimal sales structure.
  • Assisting in closing strategic deals.
  • Monthly reporting of sales forecasts and other relevant KPIs.
  • Collaborating with regional and global marketing teams for product launches and marketing activities.
  • Participating in global demand planning (S&OP) meetings.
  • Attending trade fairs and seminars to expand commercial networks.
  • Adequately answering technical and commercial questions from customers.
  • Stimulating and commercially supporting SSUs at trade fairs and other commercial contacts.
  • Reviewing business cases and providing volume commitments with the regions.
  • Continuously assessing markets and developing strategies to guide product promotion in key sectors.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably supplemented with microbiology and/or (bio)process technology.
  • Proven experience in a commercial role.
  • Excellent commercial and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and flexibility.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Driver’s license.
  • Commercial resilience.
