The main goal for the purchaser is to provide the administrative support as well as monitoring of the purchase of standard and non-standard items. You will maintain close contact with your purchasing contacts and suppliers in order to request quotes for the necessary materials and services. In addition to this, you will manage your portfolio with regard to price, delivery conditions, quality, and packaging. As purchaser, you are responsible for the timely delivery of the required materials; to this end, you make the necessary agreements with suppliers and you place orders independently in Applikon’s ERP system.



Core tasks and responsibilities could be (but are not limited to):


  • Setting up and ordering purchase parts
  • Compiling and managing order files
  • Following up, checking, and processing order confirmations
  • Making purchasing data available to project teams
  • Confronting suppliers regarding unconfirmed delivery times through reminders and complaints
  • Administrative handling of the receipt of materials and services
  • Participating in project evaluation meetings
  • Arranging the timely availability of up-to-date prices and delivery times in the ERP system



Knowledge, skills and experience


  • Education at the Dutch MBO level, supplemented with NEVI I
  • Service-oriented attitude towards internal customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A flexible and pro-active work attitude
  • Excellent organizational capability
  • Administratively accurate
