Job Overview

The Senior Field Trainer will be responsible for conducting product training and education programs for Getinge’s employees. This role will be focused on Getinge's Infection Control Consumable business. 

 

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Design and deliver training programs and content that maximizes new hire effectiveness and ability to quickly contribute to company objectives.
  • Develop and conduct product training and education programs for Getinge commercial employees and external customers. 
  • Develop and coordinate virtual training programs in partnership with product and functional centers of excellence.
  • Align training content to support consultative selling model and incorporate into training delivery and ongoing education.
  • Training to focus on products, software and services including business processes and CRM system.
  • Evaluate Getinge’s product training needs by evaluating employee knowledge, skills and abilities against needs of job, and identifying gaps where training is needed. Provide recommendations to sales management and Human Resources based on aforementioned evaluations.
  • Implement measurements in partnership with Sales Management to improve company personnel performance or enhance employee technical product knowledge.
  • Work with other Field Trainers, Sales Management and the respective Commercial Managers to create training plans and content.
  • Conduct field trainer ride alongs to assist in the continued development of product and customer workflow knowledge.
  • Attend professional conferences to build networks of contacts, advance technical knowledge, and ensure professional expertise is maintained.

Evaluate with external customers the clinical application of products from a clinical and patient perspective.

 

 

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Outstanding presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively articulate and communicate training related to the assigned product, service and software line (s) in a way that enhances engagement.
  • Familiarity with adult learning styles with the capability to incorporate these into various classroom activities.
  • Very organized, with strong attention to detail and project management capabilities.
  • Customer service/can do attitude in support of new hires during and post training.
  • Exceptional listening skills and the ability to problem solve.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, with associates of varying knowledge levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively to ensure successful completion of training requirement.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams.
  • Learning management system and digital learning experience.
  • The position requires travel of approximately 50% to 70%.

 

 

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 5 years of relevant training experience.
  • Prior sales or training experience with  sterile processing department cleaning and sterility assurance consumables highly preferred.
  • Opertional knowledge of Getinge sterile processing equipment and instrument tracking software  preferred.
  • Prior experience working in or deep knowledge of a hospital sterile processing department preferred.
  • Experience designing, managing and delivering CEU programs preferred.
  • Experience with instructional design models and educating profesionals preferred.
  • Knowledge of IAHCSMM and AAMI standards and best practices.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.

 

Quality Requirements:

  • Build Quality into all aspects of work.
  • Ensure compliance to all FDA and Worldwide Quality & Compliance regulations (As applicable to your job function).
  • You must have the education and experience to understand and comply with U.S. and Worldwide medical device regulations (As applicable to your job function).
  • Attend all required Quality & Compliance training at the specified interval.
  • Adopt the “Beyond Compliance Quality Culture” in the work environment; always meet and exceed requirements.
  • Must practice verbatim compliance (exact compliance, no interpretation) with corporate Quality and Regulatory procedures (As applicable to your job function).
  • You must thoroughly understand and comply with the Customer complaint reporting process and complaint procedures. Must be able to promptly report any non-compliance issues to Chief QA, RA, Compliance officer or appropriate administrator, including the Compliance Hotline.
  • Must be competent with 21 CFR 820, 801, 803, 806 and any other applicable federal regulations, and Quality standards (As applicable to your job function).
  • Must not be debarred by FDA for work in any Medical Device or Pharmaceutical business.
