Job Purpose:

Join Getinge’s dynamic team as a Senior Tenders Specialist, where you will work alongside the UKI Tenders Manager and Healthcare Sales team to lead and manage bid submissions in response to customer tenders. You’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance with public procurement regulations while providing strategic support to the Tenders Team. This role is essential for maintaining clear communication, assisting with contract knowledge development, and positioning Getinge’s value proposition within tender submissions.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

As the Senior Tenders Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Bid Management: Leading all aspects of the bid process, including coordination for pricing, specifications, and analysis across multiple Getinge Business Areas.

  • Compliance & Guidance: Offering expert advice on public procurement and healthcare sector requirements, ensuring that tender responses meet all necessary compliance standards.

  • Collaboration & Support: Providing liaison between the Tenders Department and the wider organization, ensuring smooth communication and alignment with commercial teams.

  • Database Management: Maintaining and updating the Tenders submission database, tracking win/loss ratios, and cascading insights to relevant stakeholders.

  • Contract & Pricing Strategy: Working closely with the sales team to align bids with UKI pricing strategy and managing pricing frameworks and price banding.

  • Continuous Improvement: Contributing to the ongoing development of tools, templates, and processes for tender management and contract administration.

  • Feedback & Analysis: Analyzing bid outcomes, providing feedback on awards, and supporting team development with tender-related resources.

Additionally, you may be required to take part in special projects or other duties as requested by management.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Tender Management Expertise: Extensive experience in tender management within the healthcare industry, including NHS, HSE, and procurement knowledge.

  • Procurement Knowledge: Strong understanding of Public Procurement regulations, including the Public Procurement Act 2023.

  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to review and manage complex data, with a high level of accuracy.

  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including bid text authoring and internal/external stakeholder engagement.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience managing large data sets.

  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized, disciplined, and able to work efficiently to meet deadlines.

  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel within the UK and abroad, including overnight stays as required.

Supervision and Management:

You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, providing expertise and guidance within a matrix structure. You may also assist with the development and training of fellow employees.
