Service Team Manager - Life Science, Ireland
We are looking for a motivated Service Team Manager for Getinge UKI, responsible for maintaining, repairing, and re-validating equipment within the Life Science market segment of the business. Leading a small-medium sized team of Field Service Engineers to achieve departmental objectives while delivering excellent after-sales customer service through effective communication and engagement.
Day to day responsibilities will include:

Carrying out service itineraries in accordance with company and service procedures, optimising time and costs to help achieve team profit margin targets.

Supervising and acting as a point of contact and advisor for the Field Service Engineering team.

Conducting annual performance reviews for FSEs and assisting in recruitment efforts.

Collaborating closely with Getinge Service Coordinators and customer contacts to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.

Ensuring all team members use work reporting systems correctly and manage stock levels effectively.

Conducting two stock checks annually and maintaining all tools, spares, and equipment in safe working condition.

Collating and distributing information in the RSM’s absence to maintain smooth operational communication.

Undertaking audits on FSEs as per company quality procedures.

Completing and submitting all relevant documentation accurately and on time.

Deputising for the RSM as required on both commercial and operational matters.

Reviewing stock turnover, compliance, SLA, and financial turnover with the RSM.

Highlighting any shortcomings, malpractice, or dishonesty to senior management.

Representing Getinge Group professionally at all times.

Participating in the “On Call” rota, which may include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.~

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

City and Guild/NTEC/ONC or similar qualifications in mechanical/electrical engineering (desirable).

Essential mechanical/electrical engineering experience.

Experienced in supervising a team of engineers.

Knowledge of relevant ISO and other industry standards, as well as the Company’s Integrated Management System (desirable).

Solid understanding of Health and Safety requirements.

Excellent written and spoken English.

Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Valid Irish driver’s licence.

Ability and willingness to travel within Ireland, with occasional overnight stays.

Enhanced Garda clearance will be required and provided by Getinge UKI.
