Job Overview

The Industrial engineering intern will be part of the logistics engineering team. Their primary focus will be on industrial engineering projects related to distribution within the warehouse. The intern will work closely with other industrial engineers to contribute to ongoing logistic initiatives.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

Improve efficiency in distribution including increase flow, optimizing layout and racking, and slotting

Apply engineering and logistics modeling techniques to address issues such as operational

process improvement, facility design, or layout.

Determine logistics support requirement such as facility details staffing needs and equipment

needs through the use of time studies and/or MOST.

Evaluate the use of technology to maximize distribution center efficiency and proposed

solutions.

Develop logistics and distribution metrics, internal analysis tools, or key performance

indicators for business units.

Minimum Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an industrial engineering program

• Familiarity with auto cad, time studies, process flow maps, facility layout, Lean, Six Sigma, data analysis

• Advanced proficiency in Micro Soft office suite
