Job Overview
Represents the company professionally and ethically as a strategic purchasing representative. Promote a global Supply Chain to drive cost synergies with the full scope of Getinge Group to ensure competitiveness in terms of quality, cost, and delivery. This position is hybrid in Fraser, MI 3x a week. 

 

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties: 

  • Strategic Sourcing (40%):
    • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to meet procurement needs
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs and select suitable sources
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts
    • Translate engineering/product specifications into supplier requirements
    • Develop and maintain an understanding of Healthmark’s products and industry trends to make purchasing decisions
  • Supplier Management (40%):
    • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement practices
    • Review and negotiate supplier contracts
    • Conduct supplier performance evaluations and drive continuous improvement initiatives
    • Manage the supplier selection process for strategic initiatives
  •   Additional Responsibilities (20%):
    • Provide reports and updates on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to management
    • Monitor and analyze market trends/pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in procurement to drive continuous improvement

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of strategic sourcing, negotiation, and management of contracts
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work with independently and with ambiguity
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with senior management
  • Prior SAP experience is preferred
  • Experience with a diverse supplier base, including nonwoven and medical suppliers is a plus
  • Experience working in Healthcare industry is a plus

Minimum Requirements:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a business, finance, or related field
  • 8+ experience in supply chain/purchasing roles required, experience in medical device or other regulated industry (GMP’s and ISO 9000) is preferred
  • APICS or ISM Certification ideal.
  • Driver’s License and Passport. 


Quality Requirements:

  • Ensure compliance to all FDA and Worldwide Quality & Compliance regulations (As applicable to the job function).
  • Must have the education and experience to understand and comply with U.S. and Worldwide medical device regulations (As applicable to your job function).
  • Attend all required Quality & Compliance training at the specified interval.
  • Adopt the “Beyond Compliance Quality Culture” in the work environment; always meet and exceed requirements.


Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions:  

  • The position is located in office in Fraser, Michigan with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
  • Some travel to supplier sites including international is required
  • Use of computer and telephone equipment and other related office accessories/devices to complete assignments
  • Occasional product lifting
  • Office and production environment

The salary range for this position is from $86,880 to $130,320 depending on experience and location
