About this opportunity

Join our dynamic Life Science EMEA team as the LS Service Director EMEA. In this key leadership position, you will shape and guide our service operations across the region, with a special focus on driving strategic initiatives and enabling cross-regional collaboration. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the direction of our Life Science service business and contribute directly to its continued growth and success. The position can be based in Benelux, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, Ireland, or France.

What you will do

In this role, you will lead and manage the Life Science Service organization across EMEA, with a primary focus on the DACH and BNL regions. You will provide strategic direction and operational leadership to drive customer satisfaction, recurring revenue, and cross-regional collaboration. In markets where Life Science is supported by local Sales and Service Unit (SSU) teams, you will coordinate closely with local service directors to ensure aligned, high-quality support across the region.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, developing, and supporting service teams in DACH & BNL to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Academy, and EDC teams to deliver cohesive service solutions.
  • Monitoring key performance metrics such as Order Intake, Net Sales, and Profitability to guide decision-making.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives, including process redesign, pricing strategies, and contract optimization.
  • Managing team development through regular performance evaluations, coaching, and planning for future capability needs.

You will bring

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong blend of scientific expertise, operational leadership, and strategic vision necessary to drive the Life Science Service organization across EMEA. You will be an influential leader, capable of managing complex teams and fostering collaboration across diverse regions, while maintaining rigorous standards for quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Your proven ability to lead in fast-paced environments and deliver results will be essential to your success.

Key qualifications and attributes include:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in a scientific or engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, supported by at least five years of managerial experience in operations—preferably within Field Service or related sectors.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills, with fluency in English; additional languages such as French, German, or Dutch are highly desirable to facilitate cross-regional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong decision-making skills to prioritize initiatives and respond effectively in dynamic business environments.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to lead through influence, coaching, and development, ensuring high performance and motivation within geographically dispersed service teams.
  • A deep commitment to quality and compliance, demonstrated by adherence to the Getinge Global Quality Management System, a proactive approach to regulatory requirements, and fostering a “Beyond Compliance” culture that drives continuous improvement and operational excellence.

In this role, you will not only manage but strategically guide Life Science service teams to deliver superior service performance, strengthen customer partnerships, and support sustainable growth across the EMEA region.
