About this opportunity
As Automation Design Manager you will lead and be a part of a close-knit and highly professional team consisting of around twenty, junior to senior level, automation engineers. The team is responsible for the systemization and programming of our control systems for product development, product care, and customer order with integration to the end user production environment when requested. The department holds a high level of competence in the following programming languages: Siemens, Allen Bradley, B&R and SCADA.

This position is based at our manufacturing site in Getinge, Halmstad and offers a hybrid work setup where you can work from home 1-2 days/week after agreement with your manager. This position may include national and international travelling a couple of times a year.
What you will do
As Automation Design Manager you will be a part of the Design & Development Management team within our Life Science R&D department. In your role you will plan, drive, follow up and implement improvements, changes, strategies, and other activities. You will interact and work cross functional within and outside the organization. Since we are a manufacturing site we also work closely together with our production.
Your responsibilities will include to:
- support and strive for development of your team members competencies.
- set and follow up on strategic objectives.
- capacity planning of the team.
- plan, allocate and follow up resources for projects.
- ensure that quality and regulatory compliance are incorporated in the everyday work.
- develop working methods and drive improvement work.
There are exciting times ahead as the pace of innovation and digitalization of our products is increasing. You will work closely with stakeholders such as suppliers, customers, research and development and market representatives to ensure that relevant innovations are on the product roadmap and delivered.
You will bring
You are a person who has strong leadership skills and is passionate about people and technology. You want to work in a team that are creating solutions and has a willingness to drive innovation and change.
You hold a Master of Science or Bachelor of Science degree in engineering within automation, mechatronics, electronics or similar. Fluency in English and Swedish, orally and written is a must.
Preferably, you have experience from working within automation/programming in regulated industries but it is not a must.
