We are now looking for our future Vice President of Quality (m/f/d) who will be responsible for driving and developing the quality functions in Business Area Life Science. Working though the product areas’ quality organizations, the future VP of Quality will ensure the establishment and maintenance of efficient and relevant quality management systems, fit to the nature of the Life Science’s businesses. The future incumbent will engage the Life Science organization and drive towards a culture of a lean, continuously improving and learning organization to meet customer needs.

 

The role will report to the President of the Business Area and will be a member of the Life Science Management team.

 

Areas of responsibilities will include:

  • Responsibility for assuring that the business functions operate in compliance with applicable domestic & international requirements, laws and regulations
  • Work and lead through a matrix organization to manage the Life Science manufacturing sites’ Quality heads in Tournefeuille, Vendome, Getinge, Delft and Merrimack
  • Drive a continuous improvement, learning culture and meet customer regulations and standards
  • Collaborate between the Life Science and Sales & Service Unit’s (SSU) to drive product & service quality improvements
  • Drive harmonization between Life Science sites where it makes sense. Ensure effective collaboration, support and resource sharing between the Quality teams at the sites
  • Develop a competent and accountable organization which is positioned to support and accomplish business objectives while maintaining customer regulations and standards
  • Monitor and review core quality KPI’s
  • Represent LS in Getinge Central Quality Steering Committee
  • Provide quality review and approval, as appropriate for changes to the quality system
  • Assist local Quality Heads with all internal and external quality systems inspections and audits
  • Stay updated on changes in standards and drive required training

 

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • Proven track record in managing quality assurance, quality engineering or related functions in a GMP regulated industry, on international level.
  • Profound knowledge of quality requirements in pharmaceutical manufacturing (GMP) and ISO 9001
  • Additional knowledge of other standards and regulations such as US FDA Quality System Requirements (QSR), Medical Devices ISO 13485, European Council Directive concerning Medical Devices (MDD & MDR) is considered a strong advantage
  • Exceptional communication skills toward various audiences; can translate quality and regulatory words and concepts into easy-to-follow language
  • Strong collaboration and mediation skills; can facilitate bringing people from different perspectives to consensus
  • Bring a strong people-focus and create environments where people can grow and develop as well as providing guidance towards to desired direction.
  • At ease in maneuvering in complex matrix environments
  • Academic degree in Engineering, Science or a related field
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset
