Job Overview
Lead marketing and product management for the life cycle of Getinge products in the global market. Drive the upstream marketing aspects of product development to bring new products and/or product improvements to market. Identify and explore significant market opportunities where Getinge can bring substantial value to our customers. Serve as the global brand manager and technical product lead for the portfolio. Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues and regional sales and service organizations. Maintain compliance to quality policy, procedures, and industry standards. Represent Getinge in customer relations to ensure product quality and service for the portfolio to bring customer satisfaction for the health and safety of patients.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Global Product Manager Responsibilities
- Prepare product launches. Manage products in portfolio throughout the product life cycle working cross-functionally with Quality, Project Management, Strategy, R&D, Operations and Supply Chain, Regulatory, Clinical, Compliance, Regional partners, and the Training organization.
- Manage the product life cycle of products within portfolio.
- Represent marketing on cross-functional product development teams. Provide market requirement specifications by integrating voice of customer, competitive intelligence, and an understanding of best practices for the specialty to define market needs and product requirements.
- Develop and update long-term strategic plan annually. Partner with cross-functional partners to develop the product strategy road map, develop global brand marketing and product launch programs, and support regional market introduction or expansion programs, as needed.
- Provide technical input for customer communications related to products; including promotions, complaints, and/or field actions.
- Create and manage clinical literature surveillance in support of internal and field requirements
- Monitor and update organization on market trends and upcoming publications or presentations related to portfolio products or business area.
- Be proactive or quick in response to prepare field/SSUs for market opportunities and competitive threats.
Upstream Product Management Responsibilities
- Support development of clinical and economic value propositions for each new product or therapy.
- Lead Marketing role on cross-functional development program teams. Support User Requirement development and other design file documentation with evidence development that supports value propositions.
- Support marketing strategy, global segmentation, targeting and positioning for new products.
- Support long-term strategic planning process and execution of plans for product segment, partnering with cross-functional business unit and region partners to ensure global alignment on plans.
- Monitor product pricing and costs; recommend opportunities that optimize market dynamics
- Assess current and future marketing opportunities or competitive threats.
Downstream Global Marketing Responsibilities
- Be the global product brand champion. Monitor and communicate market trends, reinforce product position, and provide training and technical support.
- Work with Commercial Operations lead and Operations to monitor global product availability. Partner for S&OP to ensure market trends, new product launches, and promotion planning are incorporated into forecasts. Liaise between Operations, Supply Chain (with Demand Planning), and Commercial Operations to communicate about product availability or issues.
- Identify global communication needs. Collaborate with Marketing Communications to develop promotional plans, marketing tactics, and product communications. Manage Marketing Communication Materials to ensure they are current, accurate, and compliant.
- Support product launch plan development.
- Develop and manage product training content. Support Train the Trainer and/or field representative training and product support needs. Lead content review and approval process.
- Interact with internal and external customers, develop and maintain KOL relationships, attend conferences/conventions and professional medical education events and participate in field travel to support portfolio activities and monitor accurate product positioning and promotion.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or science
- 3-5 years of experience in a regional or global product management or marketing role in the healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries.
- English language fluency is required.
- Experience working in global environment preferred.
- Ability to travel 30+% is required; position includes international travel.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven success in regional or global marketing or product management in the medical device or life science industry.
- Experience developing product-level strategic plans and executing upon them; consistently going above and beyond role and expectations to exceed business goals.
- Product launch experience desired.
- Experience conducting market research, a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated experience presenting to senior management, customers, and field representatives.
- Professional experience working with healthcare providers.
- Experience working with disposable or implantable products preferred, with cardiovascular products a plus.
- Ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and handle a demanding workload with simultaneous deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.

Internal and External Contacts/Relationships
- Establishes and cultivates an extensive network of support to facilitate completion of assignments.
- Develops and maintains relationships with healthcare providers, thought leaders, business partners, regional field managers and representatives. Interacts with external vendors.

- Ensures environmental consciousness and safe practices are exhibited in decisions
- Use of computer and telephone equipment and other related office accessories/devices to complete assignments
- May work extended hours during peak business cycles

Salary 125k-150k with 15% STIP
