Regional Service Manager, Acute Care Therapies

The Regional Service Manager plans, organize, and manages the activities of a service area and service depot operations. Ensuring quality performance of service repair results in customer satisfaction and the achievement of profit plan objectives.  

 

The Position

This role is responsible for:

 

  • Lead, train, coach and develop the service team and execute all performance management initiatives.
  • Demonstrate effective change leadership and keep organization’s vision and core values at the forefront of decision-making and action.
  • Drive process improvements by leading and managing projects that enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty and improve efficiencies.
  • Troubleshoot and proactively collaborate with other departments to achieve operational excellence.
  • Manage the service depot activities and facility operations. 
  • Ensure all incoming/outgoing calibration, maintenance and repair services are meeting established  performance metrics.
  • Responsible for overseeing the Demo/Rental operations.
  • Participates as one of the lead representatives in Service Dept. Audits and internal/external escalations.
  • Assist the Director Service in formulating strategies, tactics and action plans to sell organization’s products and services in support of corporate initiatives. Develop and implement strategies to meet/exceed goals established for all aspects of Getinge’s Service business.
  • Prepare annual sales objectives and assist in obtaining individual sales objectives by providing marketing expertise and timely quotations.
  • Approve Sales quotes for 3rd party service sales businesses.
  • Prepare expense budgets and effectively control expenditures while completing all region operational functions.
  • Work with Technical Service Representatives to ensure improvement in the quality of workmanship throughout the region, to ensure that field on-the-job training assistance is being provided, and to ensure effective use of all tools and resources.
  • Ensure that all area personnel are trained to comply with all applicable policies and procedures including health and safety codes and procedures as mandated by the Company, customer requirements, and regulatory agencies, and ensure that the equipment calibration schedule is maintained. 
  • Develop and maintain a business climate that establishes, maintains and expands positive and cooperative working relationships with customers and internal departments, and encourages employee participation and initiative.
  • Assist sales support/marketing personnel in activities such as sales promotions, training, market research, and in executing special projects.
  • Assist sales personnel through accurate and timely submission of RFP’s and Contracts for sales quoted service products. Work closely with Sales Directors to address customer needs and support equipment sales.
  • Resolve problems that may develop to the mutual benefit and satisfaction of the customer and Getinge.
  • Perform other related assignments as required.

 

This role will be located in Mississauga, ON and is eligible to work hybrid (3 days on-site).

 

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for the following experience, knowledge and abilities:

  • Biomedical Engineering Degree or Diploma preferred.
  • 5-7 years’ relevant business experience including decision-making, managing or supervising,
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in high volume field service environment.
  • Computer literacy;  familiarity with information technology concepts, personal computers, Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • People management skills.
  • Departmental budget development.
  • P&L familiarity and ability to understand basic financial reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and listening skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve service quota.
  • Ability to travel within Canada and on occasion internationally (Passport Required).
  • Valid driver’s License.
