Job Overview

The product manager takes the ownership of the portfolio management of Applikon products. Additionally, this role is responsible for product planning, pricing structure, product sales materials and execution throughout the product lifecycle- gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with Life Science, sales, marketing, finance, logistic and service to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

A list of the main responsibilities and percentage of time spent in each responsibility or group of responsibilities:

Partner with Sales Team (70%)

• Have the ability to efficiently drive forward the growth of the bioreactor business within the China market.
• Keep up to date on emerging bioreactor technologies, industry trends, competitors’ products and feedback to sales and product management.
• Collaborate with our global Applications Support team to develop application notes, customer reference sites and success stories.
• Support the sales organization on existing products through product presentations, demonstrations and application studies.
• Contribute to the development of customer needs, product specifications and requirements and to be responsible for marketing developable.
• Provide technical support proactively, answer inquiries and resolve implementation problems in the field for customers.
• Provide program, tools and collateral to support the sales organization.
• Provide product training to internal sales and distributors, and running external customer workshops and seminars.
• Support the Marketing events. Willingness to travel as required

Generate Marketing Insight (30%)

• Work closely with Marcom / Social Media on advertising campaign or other production or relevant promotional pieces. Responsible for promoting product to target markets in assigned channel.
• Analyze market and competitor’s activities and develop competitive strategy.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in biochemical, engineering, biology and etc.
• Strong understanding of bioprocessing and cell culture principles.
• Hands on experience working with bioreactors in a laboratory or industrial setting.
• Ability to technically convey knowledge of products and solutions.
• Minimum 5 years related experience in Life Science (biochemical imaging related prefer)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Customer oriented, critical thinking and problem-solving ability, a high level of self-study and strong team spirit
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Well-organized, able to carry out tasks with minimum supervision.
• Familiar with Microsoft office skills in Word, Excel and Outlook, etc.
• Hold a genuine interest in people and be able to deal with customers in a friendly manner, often within stressful situations.  Provide an excellent service on behalf of the Company.
• Be self-motivated, be able to work flexibly and under pressure in a dynamic and changing environment.
• Dynamic and passionate self-starter with the ability to collaborate effectively within the organization and externally with customers to get the job done.
• Strong interpersonal skill and presentation skill
• Proficient in Mandarin and English (verbal & written)
• Be Active, efficient, dutiful and a good team player.
