SAP Service Manager (m/f/d) SAP Basis

 

As a member of the Group IT team, you provide support for SAP Basis team covering implementations, upgrades, migrations, hardware sizing and landscape design on various combinations of OS & DB platforms including SAP HANA. This position is responsible to manage ERP and related ServiceNow tickets with prioritization, tracking, and escalation. You deliver these objectives by collaborating with internal, external, local and global resources.

Preferred locations are Rastatt, Germany and Krakow, Poland.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with business to define, prioritize, track, and escalate ServiceNow tickets of SAP and local ancillary systems with interfaces included.
  • Collaborates with internal, external, local and global resources on SAP and related support.
  • Role is expected to have occasional on-call responsibilities interaction with clients for consultation, project execution, SAP landscape performance tuning, and other activities associated with support of leveraged SAP environments.
  • Work with OS & DB Administrators for optimal SAP Performance.
  • Manage system performance, upgrades, corrections, and transport management (CTS/ TMS), client and landscape strategies, batch scheduling.
  • Daily monitoring, administrating, troubleshooting and tuning of all SAP systems.
  • Collaborates with business to fully understand business processes, identify business issues, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Understands business processes and SAP core functions to troubleshoot.
  • Responsible for documentations and knowledge transfers.
  • Works flexible hours and weekends to meet business/ customer needs.

 

Your profile / Qualifications

  • Successfully completed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in information technology or computer science or related field.
  • Significant experience as a SAP Technical Consultant/Basis or similar role.
  • Profound experience with SAP as ERP system and business processes.
  • Proficiency in SAP system performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • SAP Certifications is a big plus.
  • Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting of HANA database.
  • Experience in High availability, disaster recovery, system refreshes and backup mechanisms.
  • Experience with SAP system upgrades, patches, and installations.
  • Ability to take ownership of work activities and take it to conclusion in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical multi-functional teams spread across regions.
  • Excellent teamplayer.
