Job Overview 

Clinical IT Application Consultant is responsible for providing the overall technical and application support for field-based sales teams as it relates to OR management solutions, device connectivity solutions, clinical applications, configuration, pre-sales project management and training. 

 

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties 

  • Provides technical sales consulting in pre-sale situations to customers and sales reps.  Technical consulting topics include providing insight into the unique capabilities of Talis, Device connectivity & clinical applications, Torin, software interfacing, OR workflow, data management, reporting and dashboards, servers, IT networking, advising on cost-effective configurations and discussing potential unique configurations and enterprise solutions.  

  • Gathers, processes and shares competitive information to assist Sales Team in differentiating Getinge’s Digital Solutions from competitive offerings. 

  • Contributes to trade shows, demonstrations, trials and other venues where Getinge products will be evaluated.  Leads/assists with planning, logistics and setup.  Contributes to presenting solutions to customers and prospects professionally and with value-add to the sales process. 

  • Acts as a pre-sales project manager.  Gathers needs and requirements from customers (including architects, planners and consultants) and advises on practical approaches that will meet customer needs while ensuring Getinge profitability and success.  Ensures PM’s are set up for success.  Contributes to a smooth handoff from Sales to PM post PO. 

  • Responsible for Project Charters with collaboration from the DHS Territory Manager. This includes all documentation needed to ensure a successful project.  

  • Collaborates with the Sales Team to create a smooth post-PO handoff from Sales to Project Management and participates in the Project Kick-Off with the customer. 

  • Able to train customers and assist with customer usability issues when needed. 

  • Provide feedback about product enhancements or bugs through service and engineering. 

  • Work with marketing to develops and provides sales tools and demo tools. 

 

Minimum Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine/Marketing/Management/Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Healthcare workflow and data analysis or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.   

  • A minimum of 5 years of technical knowledge in the assigned product line. 

  • A minimum 4 years applicable clinical experience within hospital environment. 

  • Proven understanding of Healthcare IT, Digital Technologies and solutions in Healthcare, integration, Interoperability, 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Excellent understanding of hospital IT departments, IT networking/connectivity, data and EMR/PACs systems. 

  • Proficient in SQL and analysis tools 

  • Deep understanding of Saudi & Middle East Healthcare IT Infrastructure  

  • Understanding of video integration technology is preferred. 

  • Excellent understanding of Getinge solutions and implementation capabilities. 

  • Communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.  

  • Ability to relate successfully with customers of all kinds. 

  • Excellent presentation and objection-handling skills. 

  • Excellent planning and implementation skills. 

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. 

  • Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
