Getinge Critical Care in Solna is now strengthening our product development organization with a Head of Project Management Office. At Critical Care we develop tomorrow’s intensive care products and equipment, and we are in an intensive period of change and expansion. In this role you will be a key player within our R&D organization and have the possibility to take an active part in how we run product development, and in our ongoing agile change journey.

About this opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for coordinating the product development organization as well as managing the Project Manager team. The R&D organization within Critical Care currently consists of 250 dedicated employees in Sweden and Germany. Critical Care is in the middle of a transformation to agile methodology and you will be a key player and driver in the change journey.
As Head of PMO, you will be in charge of the overall portfolio, budgets and roadmaps. You are also responsible for the continuous product development process, and the project methodology.
The position gives you the opportunity to join a winning team, helping to continue the growth of our market leading and life saving products. You will interface with a wide variety of stakeholders on all levels.
Your main responsibilities and tasks will be:
- Responsible for the successful execution and coordination of product development
- As a member of the R&D management team, continuously improve product development capabilities with specific focus on our ongoing lean/agile transformation
- Working with the entire Critical Care organization to develop and improve project management methodology, as well as the agile transformation
- Networking and sharing knowledge with other R&D sites within Getinge
- Line manager for the 10 project managers within R&D
- Being the main coach and mentor for project managers within Critical Care
The position is based at our site in Solna but offers the flexibility to work from home when suitable. The role requires occasional international travel. You will be reporting to the Head of R&D in Critical Care.
You will bring
To fit in this role, we believe that you have the following experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
- Excellent leadership skills, and experience from leading leaders
- Strong knowledge and experience in management of agile projects and methods as well as implementing and driving agile transformations
- Extensive experience in development of complex embedded systems e.g. mechanics, electronics, software and industrialization
- Knowledge in financial procedures and R&D budgeting
- Fluency in Swedish and English, written and spoken.
- Experience of working in a regulated industry and especially with medical devices is meritorious.
