Product Area Digital Solutions, Acute Care Therapies (ACT), is looking for a Head of Software Factory. The Software Factory function consists of several agile teams with software developers and testers that build and release software products to support ACTs medical device ecosystem. The teams partner closely with system architects, product managers, regulatory affairs and other stakeholders across ACT, making the function truly cross-functional.

About this opportunity

Leading the Software Factory, you will drive and be responsible for software development in the device-centric ecosystem of digital solutions developed in ACT. These include e.g. connectivity solutions as well as software-as-a-medical-device (SaMD) type products. You will also promote and disseminate software best practices and agile ways of working in software development teams in Digital Solutions and across other product areas in ACT. Leading teams primarily locally in Solna, Sweden, as well as in partner development sites in Europe and India you will continue to mature an effective, state of the art software production and testing capability for ACT. As a leader, you enable your teams to set short term priorities and work together with the DS lead architect and business leadership to set the strategic direction, including technology choices. Considering our global footprint, with some of our engineering teams also being based in the United States, it is key that you are comfortable working and communicating in a US environment. Given that we operate in the medical technology domain, compliance with regulatory frameworks is of course key.

We expect you to educate and support the organization, as well as enable the teams in their daily work. As part of this effort, you will be responsible for driving process adaptations and interact closely with system architect teams, product management teams and regulatory teams to secure continuous and well-functioning operations.
