Senior System Engineer

Join Getinge and strengthen our product area Critical Care in Solna as a Senior System Engineer, and potential future team lead. We continue expanding our development teams with the ambition to form additional teams going forward to be able to enhance our development capacity in the organization. Position Overview

As a Senior System Engineer at Getinge, you will bring the next generation of products to the markets. In collaboration with your colleagues, you will design and develop medical devices that meet required system functionality and performance. In tight collaboration with highly skilled people from various disciplines, you will tackle complex interdisciplinary challenges and drive innovative solutions. Through this, you will contribute to the development of world-leading products in intensive care and anesthesia.

 

Your role

In this role you will be part of a team leading the development and making technical decisions in the product development process by determining and implementing the best possible solutions to meet customers' and patients' expectations. Maintaining the highest quality standards requires performing risk analysis and addressing complex challenges. We work in an international environment with multi-site development, which means collaboration with for example teams in India, Germany and US. You will have great responsibility and authority and, in your role, work across the entire product development cycle; from early conceptual feasibility studies, via design, requirements and construction to finished products.

 

Who are you? 

To be successful in this role you have the following qualities: 

  • Master of Science in engineering physics, computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering or eqivalent.
  • 10 years of experience designing and developing complex embedded and mechatronic systems with graphical user interface and several years as a System Architect.
  • Experience of working with requirements and test management, including version control and test tools.
  • Experience with product development in a regulated industry, e.g. medical technology or automotive, including risk analysis, safety critical products, legislations and standards.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience from leading teams in different roles is meritorious.
  • Experience of cyber security is desirable.
