About this opportunity
Getinge is in an exciting phase regarding existing as well as upcoming products. We have several interesting development projects coming up regarding our sensors and actuators in the products.
As a Software Engineer at Getinge, you will play a crucial role in designing robust and safe software in our medical devices with top-of-the-line reliability. You will work in a cross-functional team, including system, electrical, software and test engineers, to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of usability, safety, and effectiveness.
Together with the team you will be responsible for the full product development cycle, from concept to final product, both from a system perspective and down to low-level implementation. You will also take part in product maintenance to further improve already existing functionality in our Ventilators and Anesthesia products that are used in intensive care units and clinics all over the world.
What you will do
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Software development, mostly C/C++.
- Reviewing and testing new and changed software.
- Documentation.
- Work with Issue tracking.
You will bring
To succeed in this role, we think you have the following background:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer science, Embedded systems or similar.
- Experienced in C/C++.
- Signal processing knowledge. Familiar with MATLAB.
- Familiar with Linux and Git.
- Knowledge within other Real Time Operating Systems is meritorious.
- Experience with an agile way of working.
- Experience with USB in embedded systems is meritorious.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and documentation skills in both English and Swedish.

You are used to work against deadlines and often exceeds expectations. You will have a broad responsibility and high ability to prioritize.
