The strategic purchasing function within Product Area Critical Care at Getinge group in Solna, is looking for a Sourcing Area Manager for Indirect Services. The SAM will report to Manager for Indirect Purchasing and be a part of a team of 5 persons.
Key tasks and primary responsibilities
You will lead Indirect services, which means to ensure that the Solna site has an indirect service and 3rd party product supplier base that enables the business to achieve its objectives within quality, supply capability/service and cost.
- Supplier management of suppliers specific to the Solna site and if agreed of global suppliers on behalf of Getinge Group
- Sourcing events in indirect services
- Category Management including identify, drive and run cost down initiatives
- For indirect services within Getinge lead the annual negotiations for selected categories
Some specific tasks:
- Ensure compliance vs internal processes and external requirements
- Develop supplier to meet and/or exceed performance targets concerning quality and supply
- Support development projects
- Supplier Management
- Measure performance
- Drive issue resolution and improvement programs
- Lead business review meetings
- Contract management
- Manage supplier master data (SAP)
- Lead yearly supplier qualification/re-evaluation
- Sourcing
- Run, evaluate RFIs/RFQs and select supplier
- Negotiate contracts
- Category Management
- Within assigned category identify cost reduction opportunities
- Ensure good understanding of business demand and supplier market development
- Work with Global Category Manager to develop global strategies including supplier strategy
The overall objective is to improve productivity, quality and efficiency in services and existing contracts, at right cost and in time, render judgments and make timely decisions in alignment with business objectives, strategies and tactics. This requires strong negation skills and also involves encouraging active teamwork across the functions.

The candidate has at least 5-10 years’ experience from sourcing with a strong record and is eager to move forward and always striving to improve – and gladly share this ambition and energy with others. We believe that the right candidate will set the strategic direction based on market conditions and risk, raise innovation ideas in an early design phase and developing partnership with suppliers. Being in the Medtech industry it is important to ensure legal compliance in all processes. Further, knowledge in cost-analyses and quality value engineering are important. Getinge appreciates the ability to balance the openness in negotiations with suppliers are vital for success. Good knowledge of the SAP-system and MS-office is an advantage. Experience from working within the Medtech business is rewarding.

Work experience:
- Experienced from working in cross-functional teams
- Proven track record from improving supplier performance
Knowledge skill:
- Expertise in purchasing processes
- Good knowledge of supply chain management
- Understanding of international trade law
- SAP ERP systems knowledge is beneficial
- Indirect sourcing strategies, and data analysis and reporting
- Languages: English and Swedish, spoken and written

- Self-propelled and Results-oriented
- Curious with an eagerness to continue to learn and develop
- Strong interpersonal skills and integrity
- Ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders
- Patience and confidence to take lead on and prosecute the improvement processes in your area

Education:
- University degree within supply chain, engineering or equivalent education.
