Job Overview
The Manager of Compensation will support the Director of Compensation for North America to ensure Getinge’s compensation programs are market-competitive in attracting and retaining top talent and compliant with internal equity. This role involves administering, developing, implementing, and maintaining our compensation structure, strategies, policies, and processes. The Manager will work closely with the Director, Compensation, HR, Finance, business leaders, and other functions to ensure compensation practices support organizational objectives and employee engagement. The position should have proven experience managing compensation needs to support Mergers and Acquisitions.
This is remote or hybrid, east coast time zone.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Collaborate with the Total Rewards function and senior leadership to develop, refine, and implement compensation strategies that align with the company’s business goals and support a high-performance culture.
- Ensure local submission of data to market data surveys. Collect and analyze data to assess the company’s market position and make recommendations for salary structures, pay ranges, salary budgets, and total compensation packages.
- Provide advice and recommendations to the HR community on job evaluations, salary grade assignments, FLSA classifications, market adjustments based on market data, best practices, and compliance with Getinge’s policies.
- Lead the year-end salary and bonus processes, including preparing reports and communicating policy and process. This includes leading the process and activities in partnership with Corporate Compensation and using system support where appropriate.
- Work closely with the respective HR leaders and stakeholders to support, contribute to, or lead the due diligence and integration needs in Mergers and Acquisitions.
- Manage and oversee the administration of the compensation structure within SuccessFactors, providing expert guidance on system and process optimization.
- Ensure all compensation processes are well-documented and communicated, as needed.
- Working closely with the Director of Compensation and partnering with the respective HR Team, evaluate the pay equity analysis and coordinate processes with the HR community.
- Review existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommend appropriate courses of action.
- May include administration and support of international programs.
- Develop and train the HR community on specific compensation and reward processes and updates, and, if relevant, managers and employees
- Lead, collaborate, or participate in global and/or local compensation and benefits projects and initiatives as required. Provide expertise as needed in international, regional, or local projects.
- Assist with data clean-up, compensation projects, and other assigned tasks.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, finance, relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- A minimum of 7 years related corporate compensation experience within a global Human Resources function.
- Proven M&A experience in a corporate setting.
- Project management experience required.
- Experience with MarketPay is desirable.
- Strong understanding of compensation frameworks and tools, including market pricing, job evaluations, and pay equity.
- Proven experience and track record developing, shaping, and administering compensation plans.
- Substantial and successful experience in Human Resources Management, with a focus on compensation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Experience with HR systems and tools and experience with Successfactors is desirable.
- High Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
The base salary for the position is a minimum of $132,000 and a max $155,000 plus a 15% annual bonus depending on experience and location
