Job Overview

 

Lead Cardiac Surgery operations with strategic and functional responsibilities for the overall manufacturing teams including incoming inspection, planning, manufacturing engineering and a strong partnership with the Supply Chain and Facilities team.  In addition, this role will participate as an active member of the Cardiovascular Surgery leadership team and the business area ACT Operations leadership team.   As a member of these leadership teams, this individual will assist in setting strategy and achieving department goals and objectives in all areas.

 

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

 

  • Provide leadership, vision, and strategy for the Cardiovascular Surgery Operations functions including departmental policy and long-range goals and objectives.
  • Provide oversight and leadership of the Collagen production facility and its integration into the CVS organization. Responsible for direct line management of Collagen production supervisor post-integration.
  • Direct planning, organization and implementation of planning, incoming inspection and manufacturing test/production in order to support strategic goals and objectives in a cost-effective manner consistent with safety and environmental considerations.
  • Meet or exceed customer and business quality and supply chain goals/targets with compliance to regulatory requirements. Lead efforts to minimize the cost of quality inclusive of the manufacturing and supply chain processes and deliverables.
  • Sponsor Cardiovascular Manufacturing Excellence program. Drive programs in process, cost and quality improvement and assure the plant cost improvement program meets deliverables.
  • Prepare and monitor operating expense budgets.  Control expenditures within budget limitations.
  • Ensures departmental compliance with Getinge quality policy and consistently meets the quality expectations of our customers.  Reduce the cost of quality by doing things right the first time
  • Seamlessly works with business functions to prioritize and implement product and process improvements for customer and business impact.
  • Provide direction and guidance to direct reports for the procurement, planning and preparation of master production schedules for Cardiac Surgery Products with considerations given to manufacturing capabilities, machine availability, human resource requirements, shipping objectives and external resources.
  • Develops and maintains reports and metrics pertaining to production quality, quantity, and efficiency and drive actions, as required, to improve outcomes.
  • Develop an engaged, team-oriented and empowered workforce with skill and leadership growth opportunities for a strong Manufacturing organization.

Minimum Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering, Technical, or Business discipline is preferred, however a combination of education and related experience is acceptable.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in operations is required, preferably in a medical device facility.  Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Previous knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, GMP’s and ISO 9000 is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products or equivalent software application is preferred.   SAP experience is highly desirable.

 

 

Salary range:  $190k - $215k + STIP target 30%
