Job Overview

The Field Service Technical Training Manager directs the development and execution of specific product technical training and education programs for internal and external customers and implements training deliverables. The position monitors and evaluates product training needs to ensure the ongoing development of employees’ ability to meet customer and product technology demand. Candidates can be located anywhere in the United States (LOWER 48).  Within commuting distance of the Service Training Center is preferred.

 

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Implement, and executes technical training programs for internal and external customers.
  • Execute any strategic and tactical marketing plans to drive rapid US sales growth.
  • Identify gaps in knowledge, skills, and abilities against the needs of the job, thereby ensuring the highest quality service. 
  • Work with Sr. Field Service Training Managers to assist in cultivating strong relationships with the Business Units to assist in managing all technical issues related to Getinge products.
  • Work with the SOS team to implement service group plans for the entire product life cycle, including the introduction and discontinuance of products.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and the US sales force to ensure service needs
  •  Assist in ensuring that all technical documentation is current by reviewing reports, newsletters, organizational literature, peer discussions, and departmental reports. Communicate changes to the Service team, and interpret and execute policies that affect work processes and personnel. 
  • Secure all Service Documentation in a central repository and manage user access to that data.
  • Support the Service team to address escalated customer issues related to product performance, and interact with internal and external customers by responding to requests and explaining procedures.
  • Support all Service efforts associated with Regulatory / Quality updates and compliance, and partners with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance.
  • Implement measurements in partnership with service and sales management to improve company personnel performance or enhancements in employee technical knowledge.
  • Contribute to lean efforts for training labs and video productions.
  • The position requires 50% to 75% travel with overnight stays and some international travel, which will require a valid passport.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates Degree, preferably in a technical Biomedical field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience with a working knowledge of physiology and clinical settings.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the medical devices field with an emphasis on technical skills, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and passport.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and work cross-functionally.
  • Able to improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/Work Instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
  • Superior quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 

Salary: $91k-$110k + bonus targeted at 10% (depending on overall company performance)
