We currently have an opening for a QC Tech II. This position is responsible for performing testing activities for in-process and finished products, with accurate results in a timely manner.


Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Perform destructive and non-destructive testing on in-process and finish goods (e.g. Visual Inspection, Length, Seal width, Water Entry Pressure, Instron Testing, Radial Burst, Borescope).
  • Assess priorities and adjust own schedule if needed.
  • Train others on various test methods, procedures, and new policies.
  • Perform special and standard testing for Engineering Studies and Validations.
  • Attend team meetings and provide feedback to the team.
  • Provide guidance on lab and product related issues to Study Coordinators when writing protocols.
  • Generate NCMR’s for non-conforming materials.
  • Data entry, File records, trouble shooting.
  • Generate Certificate of Conformance for released FG material being shipped to countries that require them for importation.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A High school diploma, or equivalent, is required. Associates or BS Degree in Science, Math, Business or related field is preferred. Minimum of 6 months in quality function or equivalent years in a regulated environment or a BS or CQT required; FDA regulated environment preferred, medical device experience ideal.
  • Member of American Society for Quality (ASQ), Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication.
  • Must be able to perform basic math in all units of measure and demonstrate ability to read and interpret documents such as procedures and protocols.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team setting, be flexible, and exhibit a willingness to learn/ take on new tasks.
  • SAP and Information Mapping experience preferred.
  • Prior instron testing experience or prior training in one of the following instron operator’s Course; Series IX, Merlin or Blue Hill is preferred.
  • Prior experience with IR scan, DSC, spectrophotometer, or similar types of testing equipment is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.  High attention to detail is required.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team setting, be flexible, and exhibit a willingness to learn/ take on new tasks.
  • Must demonstrate ability to identify issues, effectively problem solve, and propose solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products or equivalent software application is preferred.
