Position Overview

We are looking for a Customs and Logistics Operations Specialist to join our company operating in a free zone. This role will be responsible for managing free zone entry–exit procedures, controlling import, export, and transit customs declarations, and overseeing regulatory-based financial obligations.

In addition to daily operational activities, this position plays a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, anticipating potential risks, and contributing to operational and cost optimization initiatives.

Job Description

• Ensure that free zone entry and exit procedures are carried out in full compliance with applicable regulations.
• Monitor and manage processes conducted with the Free Zone Directorate.
• Review and control import, export, and transit customs declarations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Calculate and verify customs-related financial obligations such as HS codes, TEV, Funds, KKDF, and similar charges.
• Manage and verify rules of origin and origin-related documents, including ATR, EUR.1, COO, and similar certificates.
• Ensure the correct application of customs regimes such as release for free circulation and temporary importation.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and audit the accuracy of customs procedures.
• Monitor, reconcile, and report customs and free zone inventory records.
• Plan, manage, and report shipment and logistics operations.
• Analyze customs and logistics costs and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
• Ensure that all foreign trade and customs documentation is managed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Preferably manage foreign trade and customs processes using ERP / SAP and SAP GTS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Logistics, Foreign Trade, Business Administration, Economics, or Industrial Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in free zone operations or Inward Processing Regime (IPR) processes.
• Strong knowledge of customs legislation with the ability to read customs declarations and identify incorrect or non-compliant declarations.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications; experience with SAP and SAP GTS is preferred.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Detail-oriented, compliance-focused, and highly responsible.
• Strong planning, follow-up, and reporting skills.
• Possession of a Customs Broker Assistant License (B License) is preferred.
• Familiarity with the SBBUP – NCTS system and the ability to submit SBBUP declarations is preferred.
