Based in either Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne, we are looking for a National Service Manager – Acute Care Therapies (ACT) & Surgical Workplaces (SWP) to join our Service team and take full ownership of a profitable, high-margin service business with significant untapped growth potential.
This is a senior, commercially focused leadership role for someone who views the service organisation as their own business, accountable for strategy, operations, revenue growth and P&L performance, while delivering exceptional customer outcomes in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
About the role
In this role you will:
- Own and lead the national ACT & SWP service business, with full accountability for revenue growth, profitability and operational performance.
- Define and execute a clear growth strategy, identifying new service models, service attachment opportunities, and additional revenue streams across the installed base.
- Drive increased service attachment on product sales, working closely with Sales, Business Development and other internal teams.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Field Service Engineers, fostering a high-trust, high-performance culture with a strong focus on accountability and engagement.
- Deliver operational excellence at scale, ensuring outstanding service delivery, efficient scheduling, inventory optimisation and cost control.
- Build strong, senior-level customer relationships, acting as a trusted partner and escalation point while identifying opportunities to expand service offerings.
- Manage the service P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, expense control and margin improvement initiatives.
About you
You are a commercially minded service leader who combines entrepreneurial drive with operational discipline.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in service or operational leadership, ideally within a technical, healthcare or highly regulated environment.
- A strong track record of driving growth, not just maintaining operations — you can articulate clear strategies and turn them into results.
- Solid P&L ownership experience, with confidence in managing revenue, margins and cost structures.
- Strong business development and sales capability, with a natural ability to convert service growth opportunities.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across Sales, Service, Operations and senior leadership.
- A customer-centric mindset, comfortable engaging at senior levels and building long-term partnerships.
- A strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate, influence and develop teams.
