Are you looking for an inspiring career? You just found it.

About Getinge

Getinge is a global medical technology company with over 12,000 employees. Our Surgical Workflows business develops solutions used in operating rooms worldwide — from planning through procedure to post-operative care. Within Digital Health Solutions R&D, we build software and connected systems that power these solutions.

The Role

The Cloud Engineer owns the cloud platform that our development teams rely on to build and ship products — from architecture and provisioning through to day-to-day operations and continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on engineering role, not a coordination role. You will design, build, automate, and operate infrastructure that must be reliable, secure, and easy for product teams to build on. The platform decisions you make set the standard across Digital Health Solutions R&D and influence broader Surgical Workflows engineering practices.

You'll join a Cloud Enablement team of two other cloud engineers and a cloud architect, reporting to the Manager of Cybersecurity and Cloud Enablement. You will work closely with solution architects and development teams across the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Design and configure cloud infrastructure using Terraform across Azure and AWS environments.

  • Build anmaintain Kubernetes clusters and containerized workload definitions using Helm.

  • Implement and operate CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.

  • Operate GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or Flux for declarative, version-controlled infrastructure management.

  • Automate operational tasks using Ansible and scripting (Bash, Python) to eliminate manual processes and reduce toil.

  • Integrate security controls, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks into infrastructure and delivery pipelines.

  • Provide guidance and review support to development teams on cloud and infrastructure topics.

What You're Accountable For

  • The health and evolution of the cloud platform architecture — scalability, reliability, security, and environment standardization across development, staging, and production.

  • All infrastructure defined and managed as code, with no manual configuration drift and full auditability of change.

  • DevSecOps practices embedded throughout delivery pipelines and infrastructure, including relevant regulatory and security compliance requirements.

  • Complete and current documentation of infrastructure decisions, runbooks, and operational procedures.

  • Acting as the subject matter expert and escalation point for cloud and infrastructure topics across development teams and architecture reviews.

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years in a cloud engineering or infrastructure engineering role, with production platform experience — not just sandbox projects.

  • Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

  • Solid experience with Kubernetes and Helm for container orchestration, and GitOps tooling including ArgoCD or Flux.

  • Strong CI/CD skills across Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, with hands-on DevSecOps practice including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance integration.

  • SolidLinux knowledge — configuration, hardening, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

  • Strong containerization skills across the full lifecycle: building, securing, and optimizing Docker images and container runtimes.

  • Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or similar) and experience with Ansible or comparable configuration management tooling.

  • Experience with Azure as the primary cloud platform.

  • Fluency in English.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL).

  • Experience in regulated environments or healthcare/medical device software development.

Who You Are

  • Ownership mentality — you drive problems to resolution rather than waiting for direction or escalation.

  • Pragmatic and automation-first — you default to eliminate toil, not documenting workarounds.

  • Comfortable being the single point of expertise — you make decisions under uncertainty and stand behind them.

  • You find satisfaction in a platform that just works, not in being the hero who fixes it when it breaks.

  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced international environment.Willing to challenge existing patterns when a better approach exists, and able to bring others along.

What We Offer

A role where your infrastructure decisions set the standard — not just for one team, but across DHS R&D and Surgical Workflows engineering. You will work on a platform that directly supports medical technology used in operating rooms worldwide.

  • High-impact, high-autonomy engineering work in a global medical technology company.

  • A team that values shipping over process and outcomes over activity.

  • Copenhagen-based position in a modern R&D organization.

  • Opportunity to shape cloud engineering practices that scale across the business.

  • Competitive compensation and benefits aligned with the Danish market.

  • Hybrid work setup with the opportunity to work remotely 3-4 days/week.
