Location: Home-based with regular travel to Derby and Dublin

 

The Role

We are looking for an energetic and highly organised communications professional to lead internal communications, employee engagement, customer education activities and event delivery across Getinge UKI.

Working closely with the UKI Senior Leadership Team, Clinical Team and commercial functions, you will drive impactful communication strategies, deliver engaging employee and customer experiences, and help position Getinge as a trusted partner in healthcare education and therapy development.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Internal Communications & Employee Engagement

  • Act as a strategic communications partner to the UKI Senior Leadership Team.
  • Develop and deliver internal communication and employee engagement strategies aligned to business priorities.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of UKI Town Halls, leadership forums and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Create compelling presentations, videos and communication content that supports leadership messaging.
  • Manage internal communication channels including GetNet, newsletters and employee updates.
  • Support organisational change, culture initiatives and business transformation programmes through effective communications.
  • Provide communications support to employee networks, committees and steering groups.

2. Customer Education & Therapy Development

  • Partner with the Head of Therapy Development to deliver Getinge UKI's vision of becoming the partner of choice for healthcare education across the UKI.
  • Lead communication activities that support Therapy Development across the Customer Experience Centre and the wider UKI healthcare community.
  • Develop and deliver educational content, campaigns and programmes that demonstrate the clinical value of Getinge solutions and support healthcare professional development.
  • Work closely with Clinical and Therapy Development teams to ensure communications, education programmes and customer engagements are accurate, relevant and impactful.
  • Support the design and delivery of customer-focused learning experiences, study days and educational events.
  • Measure engagement and effectiveness of educational activities, using insights and feedback to continuously improve outcomes.

 

3. Events & Experience Centre Management

  • Plan and deliver internal and external events, including Town Halls, sales meetings, customer workshops, education programmes and study days.
  • Manage all aspects of event delivery including logistics, content development, speaker coordination and post-event evaluation.
  • Oversee customer engagement activities within the Customer Experience Centre, ensuring a professional and impactful visitor experience.
  • Develop promotional content and communications to maximise attendance and engagement.
  • Create and manage video and digital content to support events, education programmes and key communications initiatives.

 

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Clinical, Sales, Service and Marketing teams to ensure communications and educational activities support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Global Marketing to align UKI initiatives with wider business strategies and campaigns.
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation to ensure consistency of messaging and delivery.

 

Skills & Experience

 

Essential

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Healthcare or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in communications, marketing, employee engagement or event management.
  • Experience delivering both internal communications and customer-facing engagement activities.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management and organisational capabilities.
  • Experience creating engaging digital content, presentations and video communications.
  • Ability to influence and work effectively with senior stakeholders.

 

Desirable

 

  • Professional marketing qualification (CIM, IDM or equivalent).
  • Experience within healthcare, medical devices or life sciences.
  • Knowledge of healthcare education, clinical engagement or therapy development initiatives.
