Job Title: National Sales Manager - Infection Control (Captial)
Location: Field-based, United Kingdom and Ireland
To serve as the National Sales Manager for Getinge UKI, leading the Infection Control (IC) Sales team. The position will play an integral role in the planning and implementation of programmes involving the establishment and development of sales opportunities covering capital IC equipment and TDOC solutions. To provide a superior service to customers through the delivery of high quality, timely and cost effective design & equipping solutions based on their specific business requirements and needs.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Daily communication with Account Managers and members of the SRS team;
- Conduct regular field visits to manage and support in key accounts as well as assess and review the performance of the Account Managers;
- Conduct annual appraisals of the Acount Managers;
- Collate and manage sales forecasts each month and report to the Business Unit Head SRS, in a timely manner in accordance with reporting deadlines;
- Responsibility for the IC Capital equipment and TDOC, ensuring that Turnover, GP and EBITA targets are met in accordance with approved budgets;
- Submission of unit files for Demand Planning & Rolling forecast processes, in a timely manner in accordance with reporting deadlines;
- Management of demo stock, ensuring that regular stock checks are carried out and necessary controls implemented;
- Ensure that all tender documentation is submitted on time and pricing strategy is discussed with the relevant managers to ensure a coordinated approach between sales & service;
- Liaise with all companies factories responsible for the production of Surgical Workplace products.
- Provide direction and development of the SRS sales activities. This includes the submission of a Strategic Plan once a year to the Business Unit Head SRS.
- Responsible for the marketing activities of IC Capital, and TDOC including the launch of new products;
- Participate as a member of the management team, providing support in the design and
development of programmes, processes to benefit the company.
- Lead collaboration across Divisions and with Commercial and Service partners to create innovative commercial solutions to meet and exceed customer requirements.
- Undertake interviews of potential candidates for positions within the Surgical Workflows team;
- Provide support to HR in disciplinary/grievance cases where required;

- Responsible for achieving and managing your individual workload within agreed parameters set by your line manager;
- Responsible for updating your progress against work activities and professional development with line manager through regular planned meetings
- Responsible for continuous professional development and identifying ways and methods to continually update your own knowledge, skills, experience and competencies.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
- HND/degree level, ideally in a Science or Engineering subject is desired but not essential
- Demonstrable experience of budget/forecasting/financial acumen
- Previous experience of managing a Profit & Loss
- High level of demonstrable commercial acumen
- Significant experience working within the SSD and/or Infection Control market would be a distinct advantage
- Experience working in a multi-site environment
- Demonstrable experience in managing a medium+ sized experienced sales team
- Proven successful sales background with hands-on approach to “lead by example”
- A strong background in dealing with clients at a high level
- Working knowledge and experience of sales within the medical field
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- IT Literature: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
