Warehouse Operative

Warehouse Operative - Derby 

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join us working at onsite at our Derby site. You will play an integral role in our supply chain for the UK; locating, picking and packing of customer orders according to customer specifications, assisting with the unloading of vehicles and the checking in of stock and completing cycle counts.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

• Complete shipments by processing and picking orders.
• Enforcing inventory control by picking allocated lot numbers.
• Preserves safe and clean work environment by keeping work areas befitting of a Medical Device manufacturer environment.
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles by hand or using a forklift truck.
• Following procedures for Goods in stock.
• Operating a Reach truck to move and rearrange stock and ensure that products are stored safely and in correct locations.

• Help to record accurate records both paper based and IT based.
• Complying with all health and safety requirements.
• Booking collections with external carriers.
• Carrying out stock and cycle counts.
• Using SAP for stock checks and other logistic functions.

Skills

• Previous warehouse experience essential
• Reach truck qualification and experience essential
• WMS & SAP experience essential

• Ability to work independently and mange workload when required
• Ability to undertake physical tasks i.e. lifting/loading 
• Fast and willing learner
• Good communicator
• Good Health & Safety awareness

• UK Requirements: Eligibility to work in the UK (essential).
• Based in an easy commute to our Derby site
