Become our new EDC Coordinator (Fixed-term, 10 months)
As an EDC Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient inbound operations within our European Distribution Center (EDC). Working closely with our 3PL warehouse partner, internal factories, and the EMEA Supply Planning team, you will drive issue resolution, support operational excellence, and contribute to continuous process improvements
Your challenge
In this role, you are the link between multiple stakeholders across the supply chain. Through effective coordination, problem-solving, and continuous improvement, you help ensure that inbound processes run efficiently, deviations are resolved effectively, and operational performance continuously improves.
What will you do?
- Review and investigate inbound deviations and actively drive corrective and preventive actions together with our 3PL warehouse operator, internal factories, and the EMEA Supply Planning team.
- Ensure that Nonconforming Material Reports are raised with the Technical Product Owner when suspect nonconforming materials are identified.
- Monitor daily inbound activities, including internal and external repacking processes, and take action when activities are not completed within agreed timelines.
- Analyze inbound deviations and identify opportunities to improve operational performance and reduce recurring issues.
- Proactively inform the EMEA Supply Planning team and other relevant stakeholders about open EDC-related issues and risks.
- Initiate and coordinate improvement actions aimed at reducing deviations caused by key suppliers and recurring root causes.
- Participate in collaboration and continuous improvement meetings with internal manufacturing sites and other supply chain stakeholders.
- Support operational excellence by participating in improvement activities and developing solutions for operational challenges.
- Investigate, review, and approve inventory adjustment requests while ensuring relevant stakeholders are informed.
- Coordinate damage investigations together with the Technical Product Owner and drive timely disposition decisions.
- Manage carrier complaints and claims for supplier shipments arriving damaged at the 3PL warehouse.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Bachelor degree or equal through experience;
- Language skills: English, Dutch is an advantage;
- Minimum experience of 2 years in a quality function preferably within medical devices or pharmaceutical industry
- Experience within the medical industry is an advantage;
- Strong in automated data processing and experience with SAP
- Must be a proficient user of Microsoft Office products or equivalent software applications.
