Job Overview

Position maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of all Manufacturing, Operations and R & D automated equipment.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring, and testing instruments.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, gauges and other equipment as needed.
  • Ensure operation of robotic and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications: troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Removal and replacement of defective parts by dismantling and re-assembly.
  • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts: using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level: anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipts.
  • Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Aid and assist with fabrication of prototypes.
  • Maintain accurate electronic maintenance documentation to meet ISO Standard.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Use of Hand tools, power tools, drill press, mill, table saw, voltage tester, gauges, measuring devices, grease and caulk gun, pallet jack, computers, and scales.
  • Experience with robotic and packaging equipment preferred.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to operate a variety of equipment.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Availability for overtime and weekend work when needed

Quality Requirements:

  • Ensure compliance to all FDA and Worldwide Quality & Compliance regulations (As applicable to the job function).
  • Must have the education and experience to understand and comply with U.S. and Worldwide medical device regulations (As applicable to your job function).
  • Attend all required Quality & Compliance training at the specified interval.
  • Adopt the “Beyond Compliance Quality Culture” in the work environment; always meet and exceed requirements.

Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions: 

  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. independently, and over 50 lbs. with assisted lift. (not having any weight restrictions)
  • Safe handling of chemicals, including potential spills.
  • Able to sit or stand for longer periods of time.
  • Able to work in hot or cold environment depending on season and equipment location.

Monday-Friday, primarily 8:30am-5:00pm, with flexibility to cover 2nd shift in emergency repair situations

$18.00 to $22.00/hour
