Job Overview

Primary purpose of this position is to manage the entire product lifecycle for the cleaning Chemistry and Monitoring product portfolio, with a primary focus on serving Sterile Processing Departments (SPD). This role is responsible for driving assigned product categories from new product development, sourcing, and marketing to ongoing sales support and financial growth of assigned product categories.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for the ongoing maintenance, profitability, and growth of a specific product category or categories for US and Global.
  • Independently negotiate costing and timelines with vendors on raw materials, components, and finished goods to ensure timely delivery.
  • Independently manage cross-departmental and external tasks on new product launches and product changes via our PLM.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to Sales and Contracts team on assigned product categories.
  • Follow industry trends to identify new product opportunities nationally and internationally.
  • Travel with Field Sales Representatives or potentially to vendors to understand the needs of the customer and sales force.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Affairs to create product-specific supplemental information (i.e., white papers, answers to FAQ, instructional videos, etc.).
  • Work with the Marketing team on PL labeling, promotional materials, photos, etc. for new products.
  • Analyze short-term and long-term financial performance of assigned product categories and present savings opportunities and additional findings to management.
  • Propose plans for continued growth and solutions to any negative trends.
  • Work on SKU reduction activities with inventory to optimize reach and increase company efficiency.
  • Partner with Product Support Specialist on internal master cross spreadsheets and become the expert on the competitive product landscape and offerings.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in the Sciences, Communications and/or Business related fields.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling, vlookup, pivot tables, concatenate).
  • Strong business and financial acumen with experience performing financial analyses.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Product Management, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Experience managing chemical products, process-monitoring products, consumables, or related medical device/infection-prevention products is preferred
  • Experience with SPD workflows is preferred

Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions: 

  • Available to travel up to 35%.
