About this opportunity

We are exploring how far agentic AI can take HR — and we are looking for hands-on, execution-focused engineers who want to build, test, and ship real systems.

This is a builder role within a small, high-autonomy initiative working at the frontier of LLMs, agentic workflows, and enterprise automation. You will work on real problems with real users across Getinge’s global organization.

You will be trusted with modern tools (including Claude Code), initial guardrails, and a clear mandate: make things work, learn fast, and iterate. The focus is on ownership and delivery — from first prompt to reliable production system.

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and operate agentic AI systems end to end, helping shape how AI is practically applied across HR in 40+ countries. You will work closely with the local business teams and within the domains of People Experience.

What you will do

As an Agentic AI Engineer, you will:

• Build and ship agentic AI systems using LLMs, tools, and multi-step workflows.
• Design and deploy automation and augmentation pipelines supporting HR processes at enterprise scale.
• Own the full lifecycle: prompting, orchestration, evaluation, iteration, and production reliability.
• Expand and maintain an LLM-powered chatbot grounded in our Expert Validation Framework, also in close collaboration with our legal team within Data Privacy.
• Work closely with HR experts and researchers to translate real needs into working, maintainable systems.

This role is global, with positions open in Sweden or Denmark and other Getinge locations if preferred. Hybrid or remote setups may be considered depending on location and business needs.

You will bring

To be successful in this position, we believe you have:

• Strong hands-on experience building with LLMs, including agentic patterns, tool use, and multi-step workflows.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals and experience shipping production-grade systems.
• A pragmatic mindset focused on outcomes, reliability, and user impact — not just experiments.
• Comfort working independently in a fast-moving, low-structure environment.
• An educational background in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, or a related field; practical experience matters most.

In addition to your technical skills, we highly value your way of working. You take ownership, learn through building, and care deeply about whether systems hold up in real-world use. You enjoy solving ambiguous problems and improving things through iteration rather than perfection upfront.
