The aim of Group Functions business control is to act as a finance business partner to management, business areas and corporate control. Areas included in the scope are Group Services covering areas like IT, Logistics, and Purchasing, Quality compliance, Regulatory & Medical, Human Resources, and Sustainability, Legal & Compliance.

 

About this opportunity

We are looking for our next Senior Business Controller Group Supply Chain to join the Group Functions controlling team. Your main focus will be to support the Chief Logistics Officer, VP Group Supply Chain and CFO Group Functions as a finance business partner, ensuring successful implementation of strategy and driving performance in all strategic and operational activities.

 

The Senior Business Controller Quality & Group Functions works closely with the senior leadership in Group Supply Chain and the position is reporting to the CFO Group Functions.

 

What you will do

We are looking for a motivated, positive and results orientated Senior Business Controller. You are a strong collaborator, who is business minded and can partner well with a diverse group of stakeholders. You have strong communication skills, proactive, analytical, and structured in your approach and can clearly articulate the problem and proposed solutions you have in mind. You are passionate about your field and able to instill a culture of continuous improvement in the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a finance business partner and be responsible for all business controlling activities within the area of Supply Chain including logistics, purchasing and global freight with a focus on performance
  • Create value by providing insights for the senior supply chain leadership, thus influencing your business counterparts to contribute to decision making and supporting stakeholders in owning and driving financial performance
  • Responsible for analyzing the performance and consolidation of Global Supply Chain as part of the monthly financial review process
  • Own the rolling forecasting and financial planning processes within Supply Chain and to actively work with stakeholders to ensure reliable forecasts
  • Lead the Supply Chain business control team consisting of two controllers
  • Driving and securing that strategic and operational activities are implemented and tracked with a key focus on productivity and resource efficiency
  • Lead, coordinate and manage Supply Chain controlling & financial activities at multi-site level including coordination of the controlling team in SSC
  • Take an active role in the management teams to foster a culture of financial business acumen
  • Work actively with the shared service center to improve the business controlling processes for Group Functions
  • Participation in and leadership of various finance projects
  • Contribute to the development of the future finance operating model in cooperation with the finance community in Corporate Control, Business Areas and Global Sales
  • Own business cases, investment frames and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure an efficient monthly financial review and forecasting process for Group Functions
  • Support in the MFR, Rolling Forecast and Financial Plan processes across Group Functions

 

You will bring

 

  • Minimum 5 years working experience within business controlling/finance
  • Relevant degree in engineering or business/finance (minimum B.Sc.)
  • Experience from a global international environment and to work in a matrix organization
  • Good business understanding, a business partner
  • System knowledge (Cognos, PowerBI, Microsoft Office)
  • You are driven by understanding the drivers behind the figures
  • Good collaboration skills, with proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders across different departments to accomplish shared goals.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ability to communicate, present and visualize
  • Ability to influence and inspire others to perform
  • Ability to structure, organize and follow-up

Languages

 

  • Fluent in English, verbal and written.
