Job Overview

Responsible for content development, processing, and compliance of global marketing plans to support downstream partners in commercial Operations, training, and distribution partnerships to ensure for assigned product offerings.

 

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

Plan, organize and implement upstream product marketing programs in support of product life cycle management strategy.

 

Product Management:

Direct product definition, marketing tools, training programs and development of the overall strategy for market penetration to assure profitability and customer satisfaction.  Work in partnership with commercial Operations, Academy, and distributors teams to develop effective sales tools for all products and product development initiatives.

 

Product and Service development:

Identify product line deficiencies and new opportunities, as related to market needs. Support defined products and/or services with complete documentation/product launch packages.  Commercialize products in collaboration with downstream partners in accordance with established Getinge process.

 

Specific Duties:

 

  • Develop and implement tactical marketing plans to meet and exceed market share and profitability objectives by working closely with marketing communications, commercial operations, and sales and service group executives.
  • Develop and maintain competitive databases, data logs, etc. With current and pertinent product literature.
  • Proactively work with Getinge distributors and Commercial operations on all new product development and sustaining product campaign initiatives with an emphasis on timely commercialization of product and service support materials in accordance to establish commercialization guidelines.
  • Promote product lines by developing effective communication and public relations strategies and tactics.  Assist global partners in the development of pertinent literature and sales support materials.
  • Develop training content and programs and provide technical information to promote products to customers and field sale/service personnel and internal company personnel.
  • Train new Atrium employees on Merrimack product lines as needed.
  • Mentor new marketing and product management employees as needed.
  • Maintain compliant marketing communication materials in Atrium’s quality system by performing regular audits of material inventory, updating materials as needed, and inactivating materials as needed.  Communicate changes to downstream partners to ensure compliant materials reside in their platforms.
  • Complete other related assignments as required.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 7-10 years related experience, preferably in the healthcare and/or life science industry, including experience in a leadership/decision making capacity.
  • Experience in marketing Class III medical devices preferred.
  • Computer literacy, familiarity with IT concepts, integrated business systems, personal computers, Microsoft Suite.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in budget development and expense management.

  • Technical product proficiency
  • Ability to multi-task with strong time management skills
  • Customer and team oriented
  • Able to execute and follow product plans
  • Classical marketing background is highly desired
  • Good presentation skills; must be able to present in front of large audiences.
  • Able to work independently
  • Must be able to decipher data from computer generated reports, software programs, technical manuals and written correspondence.

  • Ensures environmental consciousness and safe practices are exhibited in decisions
  • Use of computer and telephone equipment and other related office accessories/devices to complete assignments
  • May work extended hours during peak business cycles
  • Must travel as required to training events, trade shows, etc. (routing air travel required); must be able to operate an automobile (valid driver’s license required) and hold a valid passport for international travel.  Estimated travel is 15%.
