Job Purpose:

The Sales Application Specialist is responsible for achieving sales targets assigned in his area by the Area Manager / Sales & Marketing Director. Through his strong presence on the territory and his relationships with customers of his area, the SAS evaluates all business opportunities to expand existing business, identify and develop new opportunities. Responsible for providing formal technical and clinical support during the sales process within in a limited geographic regions. The target area will be Puglia/Basilicata. Furthermore, travel to other regions in southern Italy is required.



Key duties and responsibilities:


Market Monitoring: Average time: 20%

  • Monitor, analyze and evaluate market trends and competitors’ activity in his area to identify market opportunities in cooperation with the Area Manager.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance in his accounts.
  • Monitor and ensure customer satisfaction.

Sales activities: Average time: 60%

  • Achieve Sales & Commercial targets ensuring maximum territory coverage.
  • Responsible to provide support to the sales team in different customer segments to meet or exceed sales targets.
  •  Build strong client relationships providing a proper customer support.
  • Set and manage sales opportunities and quotas with CRM.
  • Ensure a constant presence on the accounts of his area to discover and generate all business opportunities.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle including product configurations, pre-sales presentation and product demonstration in OR’s.
  • Routinely ensure customer satisfaction with all products by educating and training them in the proper product use and the Value Proposition of the products clinically and health economic.
  • Ensure a current technical and application knowledge of the product range is maintained in order to proficiently support customer needs.
  • Implement specific action plans and marketing initiatives in coordination with the Area Manager to achieve established sales targets.
  • Provide technical training to the sales team to increase knowledge and effectiveness.
  • Discuss the annual target providing relevant information about market trend and customers of his area.
  • Represent the product portfolio to customers during congresses and meetings.
  • Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.

Tender management: Average time: 20%

  • Evaluate tenders’ documentation of his area in cooperation with the Area Manager to define appropriated strategies to apply.
  • Based on the knowledge of the market trend and competitors’ price in his area, the SAS suggests and indicates price strategies for offers and tenders in his territory.




Each organization shall have sufficient personnel with the necessary education, background, training, and experience to assure that all activities required by this part are correctly performed and shall establish procedures for identifying training needs and ensure that all personnel are trained to adequately perform their assigned responsibilities. Training shall be documented.


Experiences: previous background and work experience as Sales Rep, Territory Manager PM or Marketing Specialist (at least 3-5 years).

IT Skills: Good knowledge of CRM software Microsoft Office package.

Languages: Fluent Italian and fluent English.

Education: high school diploma in economics, with experience in similar sector or mec.
