About this opportunity

In this role, you will be part of Getinge’s Sourcing & Purchasing organization, contributing to both strategic and operational sourcing activities. As Sourcing Area Manager (m/f/d), you will work closely with R&D, Quality Management, and other internal stakeholders to identify, qualify, and develop suppliers that support innovative and compliant MedTech solutions.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Perform strategic and operational tasks within Supply Chain Management
  • Identify, select, and qualify suppliers for R&D projects in close collaboration with relevant departments
  • Support monitoring of supplier performance (costs, timelines, quality) within project-specific supplier portfolios
  • Analyze and continuously optimize existing processes to ensure systematic supplier development
  • Collaborate closely with Quality Management regarding KPIs and supplier performance improvements
  • Further develop and optimize the supplier portfolio in alignment with internal stakeholders
  • Plan, implement, and monitor local and global improvement projects, including success evaluation

 

Your profile:

  • Completed degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration with a technical focus or a comparable field
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in Supply Chain Management, ideally in international production or development environments with electrical or plastic components within medical technology or other regulated industries
  • Preferred experience in (partial) project management and experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Strong knowledge of supplier management, quality management, process management
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Located in greater Munich or surrounding area, with the ability to work on-site for 2-3 days in our office in Aschheim-Dornach
