Job Overview

The Senior Director, AI & Supply Chain Transformation is responsible for accelerating AI-enabled transformation across the global Supply Chain organization.

 

The role partners with leaders across Planning, Customer Operations, Logistics, Manufacturing, Procurement, and IT to identify, prioritize, and implement high-impact opportunities that improve business performance through Artificial Intelligence, advanced analytics, and digital technologies.

 

With a focus on areas such as demand planning, supply planning, S&OP/IBP, inventory management, customer operations, and fulfillment, the role helps build the future capabilities, processes, and decision-making frameworks required to create a more connected, predictive, and data-driven Supply Chain organization.

The position will report to the Vice President Manufacturing and Supply Chain.

 

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

 

Lead the Supply Chain AI Transformation Agenda

  • Drive and accelerate AI-enabled transformation across the global Supply Chain organization.
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized roadmap of AI opportunities aligned with business strategy and operational priorities.
  • Ensure AI initiatives focus on solving meaningful business challenges and delivering measurable value.
  • Promote practical, business-oriented adoption of AI technologies, analytics, and automation.

 

Identify and Prioritize High-Impact Use Cases

  • Partner with Supply Chain leaders to identify opportunities for AI-enabled business improvement.
  • Evaluate opportunities based on strategic value, scalability, business impact, and implementation feasibility.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of prioritized initiatives.
  • Support leadership decision-making regarding investment priorities and resource allocation.

       

Examples may include: Demand forecasting, Supply planning optimization, Inventory management

  • S&OP / IBP decision support, Customer service and fulfillment, Logistics visibility and performance, Procurement analytics, Knowledge management, Predictive risk monitoring, Productivity and process automation

 

Drive AI-Enabled Supply Chain Transformation

  • Partner with Supply Chain leaders to transform planning, customer operations, logistics, procurement, and operational processes through AI and advanced analytics.
  • Support the evolution of future-state capabilities across:
    • Demand Planning
    • Supply Planning
    • Inventory Management
    • S&OP / IBP
    • Customer Operations
    • Order Fulfillment
    • Logistics Planning and Execution
  • Establish innovative approaches that improve forecasting quality, inventory performance, customer experience, service levels, and operational efficiency.
  • Help develop modern, data-driven operating models and decision-making processes across Supply Chain.

 

Pilot, Measure and Scale

  • Design and lead rapid pilot initiatives to validate AI use cases.
  • Define success criteria, KPIs, and expected business outcomes.
  • Measure performance and make recommendations regarding expansion, refinement, or discontinuation.
  • Scale successful solutions across the broader Supply Chain organization.

 

Advanced Analytics and Decision Intelligence

  • Promote data-driven decision making and advanced analytical capabilities.
  • Apply AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and scenario modelling techniques to improve operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Support the development of business insights and decision-support frameworks.
  • Improve the organization’s ability to anticipate demand, manage risk, optimize inventory, and enhance customer service.

 

AI Capability Building and Enablement

  • Working with other experts, increase AI literacy and digital capability across the Supply Chain organization.
  • Develop practical frameworks, playbooks, and best practices for AI adoption.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and teams on AI opportunities and implementation approaches.

Partner with IT and Digital Teams

  • Collaborate with IT, Digital, Data & Analytics teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, governance standards, and technology strategies.
  • Support the evaluation and selection of AI platforms, tools, and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with security, quality, data governance, and regulatory requirements.

Innovation and External Benchmarking

  • Monitor developments in Artificial Intelligence, advanced analytics, planning technologies, and Supply Chain innovation.
  • Assess emerging technologies and business applications relevant to Supply Chain.
  • Build relationships with external technology providers, industry experts, and innovation partners.
  • Introduce external best practices that enhance Supply Chain performance and capabilities.

 

Influence and Change Leadership

  • Act as a change leader for AI and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Guide teams through both the technical and organizational aspects of AI adoption.
  • Build engagement, confidence, and sponsorship among leaders and stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, continuous learning, and measurable outcomes.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

 

  • Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g. Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience within Supply Chain Management, e.g. Planning & Customer Operations, S&OP/IBP
  • Experience of Digital Transformation, Advanced Analytics, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Business Process Excellence and Strategy Execution
  • Demonstrated experience in driving complex cross-functional transformation programs, translating technology opportunities into measurable business value and leading initiatives involving AI, analytics, automation, or digital innovation
  • Influencing executive stakeholders without formal authority
  • Delivering measurable improvements in operational performance
  • Experience within global and matrix organizations
  • Experience within regulated industries such as MedTech, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or Manufacturing environments
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time

The base salary for the position is a minimum of $187,000.00 and a maximum of $230,000.00 plus an annual bonus of 35% + Vehicle plan eligibility
