Field Service Technician

About This Opportunity 

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Service Technician to join our team in Prague. In this field-based role, you will work with advanced infection control equipment, including washer-disinfectors, sterilizers, and systems used to safely clean and prepare medical instruments. 

Your work has a real purpose. Every day, you help hospitals and clinics protect patients, prevent infections, and deliver safe healthcare. You will support equipment that is essential for doctors, nurses, and patients. 

Our service organization supports customers across the Czech Republic. We install equipment, perform maintenance, deliver spare parts, provide training, and offer technical support. With a strong service team across the country, we ensure fast, professional, and reliable service for our customers. 

What You Will Do 

As a Field Service Technician at Getinge, you will be part of a skilled and supportive team. We share knowledge, help each other, and work toward one clear goal: to improve healthcare by keeping medical technology working safely and reliably. 

You will have an independent and varied role with regular customer contact. Your main responsibility will be the installation, service, and maintenance of infection control equipment, especially our modern washer-disinfectors and sterilizers, which play a key role in patient safety. 

The position is based in Prague. You will start from home and travel to customers using a company service vehicle. Your customers will be hospitals and private clinics, where your work is valued and visible. 

In this role, you will: 

• Install, service, and maintain high-quality medical equipment 

• Perform quality and safety upgrades to keep equipment up to date 

• Plan your work together with the Service Manager 

• Support the sales team with your technical knowledge 

• Represent Getinge professionally and build strong, long-term customer relationships 
  
  

What You Will Bring 

We believe you will enjoy and succeed in this role if you have: 

• Education or experience in electrical engineering 

• A strong customer focus and ability to work well under pressure 

• Good communication skills in Czech and English 

• A valid Class B driving license and willingness to travel 

• Basic computer skills and interest in technology; knowledge of SQL is an advantage
