Job Purpose and Function:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for in-process and final inspections. The Quality Inspector is accountable for all products manufactured by HPNE to ensure conformance to specifications.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performs in-process and final inspection of all products for conformance to specifications (inspection procedures and engineering drawings), conducting visual inspection and testing components/assemblies in production
- Assists with development of inspection procedures for products manufactured by HPNE
- Performs label inspections (i.e., product labels and box labels)
- Maintains and records quality testing information within a batch record
- Performs thorough batch record review prior to accepting product lot for release
- Completes all quality tasks within established HPNE guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Maintains work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
- Applies principles of cGMP and ISO Standards
- Trains other employees
- Supports continuous improvement and elimination of waste from processes and methods
- Reads blueprints and specifications to ensure that production standards are met
- Uses measuring tools such as calipers and various gauges to ensure correct dimensions
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to work in a team environment with a cross functional team
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional analytical skills
Familiarity with use of rulers and calipers
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma/GED
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in quality control inspections required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in reviewing mechanical and electrical drawings
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- ERP experience preferred
- Cleanroom experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Prolonged periods of working with your hands
- Ability to wear appropriate attire for a cleanroom (gown, mask, and hair net)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
