Role Summary:
The AI Acceleration & Enablement, Acute Care Therapies (ACT), is responsible for driving a focused and prioritized AI agenda across Acute Care Therapies. The role works closely with Product Areas and functions to identify high-impact AI use cases, prioritize initiatives based on business value, lead pilot implementation, measure outcomes, and scale successful solutions. In addition, the role builds AI capability across ACT through education, practical frameworks, and hands-on support. The objective is to accelerate execution, improve productivity, and strengthen innovation through disciplined and business-driven use of AI.
Role Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to support our PAs and functions in:
- Identifying, prioritizing and executing on the few AI initiatives that truly move the needle
- Driving pilots and implementation together with the PAs
- Measuring impact and scaling what works
- Raising AI competence across ACT through structured education and practical enablement
Key duties and responsibilities
Executional Leadership:
- Drive and accelerate the AI transformation for the organization; Rapidly execute on a prioritized and focused AI agenda aligned with the ACT business strategy and the corporate IT guidelines.
- Guide PAs through the technical and psychological aspects of AI adoption
- Stay current with the latest AI research and technologies, applying them to focused high impact use cases and practical applications
- Develop plans to run rapid pilots and assess against established metrics to show desired impact of solution; Cancel projects quickly that don’t show desired outcome and roll-out successful pilots to rest of the ACT organization as appropriate.
- Evaluate partnerships and investment opportunities relevant to ACT’s strategy.
- Ensure use cases are considering all functional areas within ACT, including but not limited to topics such as speed of product development, regulatory effectiveness, driving newly established sourcing excellence KPIs, and innovation throughput. The important guidance is that we identify and prioritize a few right AI initiatives that truly move the needle.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Identify high-impact AI use cases across functions within ACT, including Product Management, R&D, Sourcing, Production, Finance, etc.; Develop and rapidly pilot AI solutions tailored to PA-specific business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within ACT and the IT function to ensure alignment and prioritization of AI initiatives
- Develop training programs to enhance AI literacy among ACT professionals
- Evaluate and recommend AI tools and platforms for use in collaboration with the IT Function
Qualifications:
- Master in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, AI, or interdisciplinary
studies combining technical, business, and psychological aspects)
- Extensive knowledge of computer science, AI, machine learning, and psychology
- Proven research and industrial experience implementing IT solutions
- Demonstrated experience in applying AI solutions in corporate settings
- Strong technical skills with the ability to understand and apply the latest AI research
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Proficiency in machine learning, statistics, and familiarity with open-source and commercial LLMs
Technical skills:
- Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and tools
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis
- Experience with open-source and commercial LLMs
Language requirements:
Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
