Join Getinge and strengthen our product area Critical Care in Solna as a Senior Software Architect. We are now expanding one of our development teams to speed up our product development. Position Overview 

As a Senior Software Architect at Getinge, you will bring our next generation products to the market. In collaboration with your colleagues, you will design and develop software solutions that meet the required system functionality and performance. In tight collaboration with highly skilled people from various disciplines, you will tackle complex interdisciplinary challenges and come up with innovative solutions. Through this, you will contribute to the development of world-leading products in intensive care and anesthesia.    

 

Your role 

In this role you take the lead in the decision-making process regarding software implementation, determining the best solutions to deliver the required system functionality and performance. Maintaining the highest software quality standards requires performing risk analysis and addressing challenges. The development will be led by the team in Solna, Sweden but the development will be executed in collaboration with teams in India.  

 

In this role, you will get an excellent overview of how all parts and systems in the machines work, connected with knowledge of how the products are used. At Getinge we follow the standards; IEC62304 – Medical device software and IEC81001-5-1 Health software and health IT systems safety, effectiveness, and security, in our development processes.  

 

Who are you?  

To be successful in this role you most likely have the following qualities:  

 

  • Master of Science in computer science, engineering physics, electrical engineering, or equivalent. 
  • 10 years' experience developing integrated systems with C++ and real time OS including Knowledge of Linux. 
  • Preferably experience of modern C++ in embedded systems with modular and testable code. 
  • Experience of safety critical products, legislations, and standards. Preferably experience from functional safety and/or cyber security and if possible, familiarity with product development in the medical technology field. 
  • Experience of modelling, risk analysis and implementation (SysML, EA, etc.) 
  • Knowledge in low level programming (Microprocessors, HAL and BSP?). 
  • Knowledge around board bring-up (Setting up uP, peripherals) and build for test. 
  • Experience of USB device stack would be meritorious. 
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
