About this opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong skills in cloud-native backend development and a passion for building secure, high-performance healthcare software. In this role, you’ll design and develop backend services, lead architectural discussions, and mentor engineers—working closely with frontend, QA, and product teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Our current focus is on Golang, React, Kubernetes, and Azure, but experience with C++, embedded systems, and medical interoperability (SDPi/SDC) is highly valuable for both current and future needs in our team.

Our Tech Stack

Here’s a look at the tools and technologies you’ll be working with:

Languages & Frameworks: Go (Golang), TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Java, Bash

Interoperability & Standards: SDPi, SDC (IEEE 11073), HL7-FHIR, MQTT

Cloud Platform: Microsoft Azure (AKS, Event Grid)

Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes

Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Helm, Ansible

CI/CD: GitLab CI

Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana

Version Control: GitLab

We’re constantly evolving our stack to meet new challenges—your input will directly shape our future architecture.
Other highly valuable skills: C++, embedded systems, SDPi/SDC (IEEE 11073), HL7-FHIR, MQTT, IEC 62304, ISO 13485.

What you’ll do

  • Design and build backend services in Go, ensuring scalability, security, and regulatory compliance.

  • Shape our Azure-based architecture, leveraging Kubernetes, containers, and modern DevOps practices.

  • Champion CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and compliance (e.g., IEC 62304), while ensuring secure, traceable, and maintainable code.

  • Collaborate across teams to deliver integrated cloud and frontend solutions.

  • Mentor and guide developers, fostering best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.

  • Contribute expertise in C++, embedded systems, and medical interoperability where applicable.

You’ll bring

  • Proven experience with Golang and Azure in production systems.

  • Solid knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.

  • Ability to work effectively across backend, frontend, and infrastructure teams.

  • Bonus: C++, embedded development, and medical interoperability expertise.

Why join Getinge

You’ll work on cutting-edge medical software that spans embedded firmware, cloud-native infrastructure, and device interoperability. This is a high-impact role where your decisions will shape our platform architecture and directly influence real-world clinical outcomes. We offer an environment that values technical ownership, innovation, and cross-functional learning, with opportunities to grow into broader leadership roles in a growing team.
