Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Logistics & Distribution Intern to join our team. This role will assist with day-to-day operations within our logistics and warehouse department, gaining hands-on experience in inventory management, shipping, receiving, and distribution. Additionally, duties will include reviewing, standardizing, and aligning existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across different Product Areas and locations within the organization.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
1. Review, align, and standardize the company’s existing SOPs across Product Areas to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with industry best practices. This project will enhance operational workflows, improve communication across teams, and ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and quality standards.
The primary goal is to develop a comprehensive, unified framework of SOPs that can be easily referenced and followed across all departments, reducing ambiguity, preventing errors, and increasing overall organizational effectiveness.
2. Establish, manage, and continuously improve the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of the company’s master data. Master data includes key business information (e.g., product data, temp. conditions, weights and dims, vendor details, etc.) that is essential for business operations, decision-making, and compliance.
This initiative will help reduce errors, improve operational efficiency, enhance reporting accuracy, and support business analytics by providing a reliable source for master data.
Minimum Requirements
- Currently a junior or senior student attending a 4-year undergraduate program, or working towards a Master's degree in a related life science field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent written, communication and organizational skills, with keen attention to details.
- Strong interpersonal and team skills.
- Advanced proficiency: MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Team
