Job Overview
The Material Handler provides support to operations. It is responsible for detailed receiving, put away, picking and/or processing of serialized, batched merchandise. Picking orders to be processed, packed, and strapped to be shipped. Which involves being efficient with time and being able to pick the correct products, serial numbers, lot, and quantities for a range of products.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Unload, palletize, and receive incoming merchandise in accordance with quality and safety standards.
- Accurately put away inventory and ensure all items are stored securely and remain damage-free.
- Pick/Process customer orders with precision, including correct batch, lot, serial number, and quantity.
- Consolidate, wrap, strap, and stage outbound shipments; assist with packaging and labeling as needed.
- Load materials onto outbound trucks or pallets using safe and proper methods.
- Pull merchandise from stock for inventory holds, restocking, or fast-pick zones as directed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Company-approved safety shoes are mandatory and must be worn at all times in warehouse operational areas.
- Follow and uphold company policies, OSHA regulations, and quality/production standards.
- Demonstrate reliability through consistent timeliness and attendance.
- Train and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) with attention to detail and compliance.
- Collaborate with team members, leads, and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
- Support cross-functional areas including production and quality control.
- Participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by leadership to support departmental goals.
Minimum Requirements
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent education and work experience.
- A minimum of one year experience with warehouse receiving, shipping and Inventory.
- Ability to work the shift of Monday - Friday, 11:30AM - 8:00PM
- Forklift experience preferred but not required, ability to train on forklift operation given other skills and experience requirements are met.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accurately, and maintaining safety at all times.
- Able to perform under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Must communicate effectively and work well with others. Use carts to pick and put away for the floor positions (racks and shelving)
- Self- motivated and resourceful problem-solver
Pay Rate: $20.50 - $22.50 / hour
